TEST

(If you do not know an answer, you may look back at the training.)

1.  Choose the answer that most closely matches the correct one.
A. Churches are the best place for children to receive spiritual training because that’s where the experts are.
B. Churches are the best place for children to receive spiritual training because families are so busy that it’s almost impossible to fit spiritual training into their schedules. Churches provide what parents can’t.
C. Churches are not the best place for children to receive spiritual training. God’s plan was for parents to do this.

2.  Kaleidoscope Ministries “trains children in the way they should go” by teaching them biblical truth and equipping them to become loving witnesses of Christ.
     True
     False

3.  Based on Kaleidoscope’s training and God’s Word, what is your response to the following statement: “I believe that if a Buddhist has been the best Buddhist he can be, he should be able to go to Heaven.”
     A.  I disagree with this. The bible says Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Therefore, He is the only way to Heaven. Furthermore, one of the 10 Commandments says “Put no other gods before me.” Regardless of how faithful he has been, someone who worships Buddha will not go to Heaven without forgiveness, repentance, and baptism of the Holy Spirit.
     B.  I agree with this. God loves everyone.

4. Which one of these is not one of Kaleidoscope’s values?
     A. Fun
     B. Age-Appropriate
     C. Service-minded
     D. Active
     E. Scripturally-accurate

5. According to Kaleidoscope training, which is the most correct statement?
     A. Our main focus is to teach children where they are.
     B. Our main focus is to teach children, keeping in mind the adults they will become.
     C. Obviously, Kaleidoscope’s role is babysitting. We are here to keep the kids from distracting the adults, who are the main focus of the church.

6. What is the most important reason for strictly enforcing our security system?
     A. It looks good to visitors.
     B. Everyone knows that the best churches have a security system. It’s the “in” thing.
     C. Bro. Paul wants us to.
     D. We need to spend the budget. Otherwise, we might not get as much next year.
     E. To minimize the risk of abuse, abduction, and molestation to a child.

7. What are you expected to do if a child or parent loses their security sticker?
     A. I would keep the child as my own. I love children!
     B. Although I may know personally that the child and parent belong together, I would always direct them to Tonya or the hallway leader. I would not release the child without direction from one of them.
     C. I would ask the parent for a driver’s license. Then, for confirmation, I would ask the child who this person was.
     D. I would most likely release the child, regardless of Kaleidoscope’s policies and procedures. We’re a church for goodness sake! We shouldn’t use a security system in the first place. It’s inconvenient for me and rude to the family.

8. Two reasons for strictly enforcing our security system were mentioned in training. Which one of these is not one of the reasons?
     A. The divorce rate.
     B. A visitor’s first impression.
     C. Rules are rules. If we can’t follow the rules ourselves, how can we expect the kids to follow the rules?

9. If a child in your classroom has diarrhea or a fever, how will you handle it?
     A. If a parent informs me of these upon drop-off, I will tell them that the child cannot enter the classroom. If I don’t feel comfortable saying this, I will direct them to Tonya or the hallway leader. If I become aware that the child has one of these after the parent has left, I will tell Tonya or the hallway leader so they can get the parent to pick the child up.
     B. I will do my best to keep the child away from the other children. Also, I will immediately clean anything the child touches.
     c. I will ask the parent if the child is on antibiotics or is teething. If the answer is yes, meaning the cause of the condition is not contagious, I will allow the child to enter the classroom.

10. If I work in Extended Session, what time should I arrive to class?
     A. Around five minutes before service time.
     B. Around 20 minutes before service time.
     C. ASAP
