Bible Study Awareness

You are invited to Bible Study Awareness on Sunday, October 30, after all
Worship services. This will be a time to find the perfect class for you and your family! We will have new Bible Study brochures listing all of our classes with class descriptions, and someone from each class available to answer any
questions you might have.

Refreshments will be provided!

Why Bible Study?

Improves your Bible knowledge.
Assists your spiritual growth.
Provides a place to belong.
Helps you build meaningful relationships.
Gives you opportunities to serve and minister.
A place for the whole family—Bible study, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. Gain the assurance of knowing every member of your family is involved in weekly, small-group Bible study, which is growing their Bible knowledge and helping them grow spiritually.

SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS:
Parents of young children, if YOU are not attending an adult Bible Study class, please consider joining a class of your choice. As you know, young children do what you do, say what you say, and act the way you act. As our children grow up, they start NOT listening to what we say, but they WATCH what we do. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing we can do for our children and ourselves. It will keep our families together forever in eternity.

The Five Love Languages of Children

Are You Expressing Love in a Language Your Child Understands?
Beginning Wednesday, October 5, from 6:30 – 7:30, we will dig into The Five Love Languages of Children and learn how to meet our children’s deepest emotional needs. Cost per book is $10.

SWAT

“Thank you, SWAT Team, for the beautiful Get Well cards. Sometimes, after you come home from the hospital, you have days that you feel good and some days that you feel bad. The day I received your cards was a bad day for me, but when I opened your cards, my day changed to a good day. God knew I needed something to cheer me up, and He knew the cards would do it. Thank you for showing God’s love to someone who needed it that day. Thank you also for your prayers. I am getting stronger every day. God bless you! Mrs. Dorene”

The SWAT Team stands for Special Witnesses and Teachers. These are 5th and 6th graders who have accepted Christ, been baptized by immersion, are active in Sunday School and worship and serve in various ministries inside and outside the church. Thank you, SWAT

Mother Nature’s Farm Welcomes PS PALS

Friday, October 21
10:00 a.m.—Noon
Meet at the farm! Mother Nature’s Farm is located at 1663 E. Baseline Rd. in Gilbert.

Preschool PALS group (children ages 0-5 and adult chaperone), their siblings and friends are always welcome!

Pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, bounce house, hayride. Food is available including hot dogs, popcorn, and snacks. Picnic tables are on site so you may bring your own lunch. We had a blast the last 4 years. Yes, it is dirty out there!

Cost: $5 per child, Adults are FREE. (Adults, please print out your FREE coupon on the website)

Register by October 16 using an envelope marked PALS. If you do not register but plan to attend the event you will be required to pay the entrance fee as posted at the farm. Please place in the Ministry Payment Box located in the north hallway by the church office door.

Awana’s Schedule

AWANA is for children ages 3 – 6th grade, and meets Sundays at 4:00 p.m.
October Schedule:
2 – Club—Food Drive Kick off
9 – No AWANA—Fall Break
16 – Club—Bring a Friend/Banana Split Night
23 – Club—AWANA Store
30 – Club—End of Food Drive & Everything Round Night

What is AWANA?
AWANA is a huge outreach of our church for 3-year-olds through 6th grade. The kids memorize scripture and learn how to apply it in their lives. Once they have God’s Word hidden in their hearts, they want to share it with their family, friends and neighbors and invite them to come with them.

Kids Day Out

Monday, February 21
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
(KDO is for children ages K-6th grade)

Kids, come play video games (www.nomadgamerz.com), make a craft, watch a movie, and eat on Monday, February 21 from 10:00 – 3:00. Each family is asked to bring one non-FBC friend. Cost is $8/child, $24/family max. Registration and payment required no later than Sunday, February 13 via www.fbc.net or an Event Registration Envelope. Questions?
