Bro. Paul has been pastor at FBC since 2003. In addition he is a Hebrew and Old Testament Professor at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary - Arizona Campus. He has been married to Jerri for 20 years and they have four children, 2 girls and 2 boys (Elesea, Hannah, Josiah and Nathan). They enjoy hiking and swimming as a family and playing with their Greyhound, Bullet. Paul is a NASCAR enthusiast and an avid mountain biker.

Kevin Fryrear

Bro. Kevin has been involved with music ministry for over 30 years. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University, with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1978. He received his Master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1980. He and Rosie have been married for 29 years and have 5 children; Christopher, Melody, Stephen, Melinda, and Amanda. They have served the Lord in Missouri, Illinois, Louisiana, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas.
Kevin has a heart for Music and Missions. He has taken choirs to Portugal and Spain, and is on the board of directors for “World Hope Ministries”, an international missions foundation. He has been involved in missions to South Africa and Honduras. Bro. Kevin also enjoys horseback riding, motorcycles, and being with his family.
 

Raymond Master
Pastor to Students

Ray is the Pastor to Students at FBC. After growing up in Michigan, he relocated to Arizona to finish his undergraduate work at Arizona State University. In May 2004, Ray earned his MA in Christian Education from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary – Arizona Campus. In addition to his responsibilities at FBC, Ray teaches student ministry leadership clinics around the country and works closely with other youth leaders in the East Valley to support Kingdom growth in the community. He and his wife, Jill, have been married for nine years, and are blessed with two sons, Aaron and Daniel. Ray enjoys playing the piano and guitar, reading, team sports, and is an avid Arizona Diamondbacks fan.
 

Tonya Lawson

Tonya Lawson is originally from California, but she got to Arizona as fast as she could by way of Kansas, Texas, Georgia, Texas again, and finally Arizona. She has been married to Scott for almost 20 years and God has blessed them with two sons, Kyle, age 17, and Zack, age 10, a Silky Terrier, Bearded Dragon, and a Cockatiel. Tonya attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas where she majored in Christian Education. In addition to her work with FBC, she also leads a children’s ministry network for leaders in the Phoenix metropolis where they strive to “become stronger for God’s kids.” In addition to children’s ministry, Tonya enjoys reading, quilting, scrapbooking, and candle making.

Sharon joined the office staff in June of 2000. She has recently assumed the position of records secretary. She maintains all member and attendance data and contribution records. Sharon is married to Russ and has one daughter, Jessica. Her hobbies include collecting cookbooks, cooking, geocaching and keeping up with Russ and Jessica.

Jennifer Potter

Jennifer was born and raised in Phoenix and was a long-time member of First Southern Baptist Church in Glendale. She married Chuck in 1979 and they moved to El Paso, Texas where they had two children, Daniel and Keith. They returned to the Valley in 1993 and have been members of First Baptist Chandler for 11+ years. When you call the church office you will more than likely hear Jennifer's voice as she joined the office staff in April 2006 as our receptionist. She will handle all incoming calls, along with the weekly bulletin and media presentations for the worship services. Her hobbies include scrap booking, counted cross stitch, reading and crochet.
