NO SERVICES THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 29

My personality is one that pushes back against being told what to do – I have a rebel streak. When the government starts telling places to close, I naturally resist. Because of that, my preference is to continue to have Sunday services though many places are closing.

However, Romans 13:10 says “Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.” By gathering at church, we risk spreading the coronavirus to someone who could become very ill or even fatally ill. Or someone could get the virus at church and take it home to someone with a compromised immune system and that would be a terrible thing. Therefore, we will not be having services this Sunday, April 5. Several things you should know:

1) The sermon will be on our website Sunday as well as music so you and your family can still have a worship service in your home.

2) We will evaluate the situation each week and we will be making the decision on a week-by-week basis.

3) We are cancelling all church-wide activities for the rest of April. No AWANA, no Wednesday night activities, etc. Please check our website to keep abreast of schedules.

4) The fallout from all the business closures will be felt for weeks and months to come. We want to position our church to assist people as well as we can. Please continue to give generously so we will be able to meet the many needs that we are sure to become aware of. You can give online at
https://www.simplechurchgiving.net/App/Giving/fbc

or you can mail your offerings to

FBC
3405 S Arizona Ave.
Chandler, AZ 85248

If you would prefer to drop your offering by the church you can do so during regular office hours (8:00-3:00 pm).

5) There are many people who due to age or health concerns don’t need to be out in public right now. If you are one of these or know someone who needs to self-quarantine, please notify our office. We have several our members who are willing to make a grocery store run for them to protect them from exposure to the virus.

Most importantly, pray that God brings this to an end swiftly and do not lose heart – He is on His throne!
